Is the definition correct? You decide!
You will see a word and a definition. Decide if the definition is TRUE or FALSE. Quick, simple, and a great way to build your vocabulary!
Each question shows you a word, its part of speech, and a definition. Sometimes the definition is correct, and sometimes it belongs to a completely different word. You decide: true or false. It's the simplest game format on the site, which makes it a good starting point for beginners who might find multiple-choice overwhelming.
The trick is that wrong definitions aren't random nonsense — they're real definitions of other words. So "cat: a large body of salt water" sounds plausible enough that you need to actually know what the word means. On harder difficulties, the false definitions are chosen to be close in meaning to the real one, so you have to pay attention to subtle differences.
True or False is fast. Most people finish a round in under a minute. It works well as a warm-up before trying the Vocabulary Quiz or Spelling Test, or as a way to review words you've been studying.
