Pick the correct definition for each word
Choose a difficulty level above and start the quiz. You will get 10 questions with 4 options each.
Each question presents a word and four definitions. Pick the one that matches. It sounds like Word Match — and the core mechanic is similar — but the Vocabulary Quiz is scored and timed, which changes how it feels. There's a five-second countdown bar after each answer, so the pace stays brisk.
The difference from Word Match is mostly in difficulty scaling. Easy mode here uses the same beginner word set, but medium and hard modes draw from a much larger dictionary and deliberately pick distractor definitions from the same subject area. If the word is "erosion," the wrong answers won't be about cooking — they'll be other geography terms. That makes it a real test of whether you understand the precise meaning, not just the general category.
Your score appears at the end with a breakdown of right and wrong answers. It's a good way to measure how your vocabulary has improved over time if you play regularly.
