A coffee from Starbucks.
"I ordered a large starbucks to start my morning."
A widespread chain of coffee shops.
"The local Starbucks was packed with people waiting in line to order their morning lattes."
The coffee chain is named after Starbuck, a fictional captain in Herman Melville's novel Moby-Dick, who was himself inspired by a real whaling family from Nantucket. That surname originally comes from the English village of Starbeck in North Yorkshire.
